Chef's Night Off

What do you get when you combine your favorite restaurant chefs in the Twin Cities, a fabulous non-profit, a bevy of fantastic "celebrity assistants" and a pretty kick-ass kitchen? Well, we like to call that Chef's Night Off. And, we’re squealing like schoolgirls to tell you more.

Chef's Night Off is a limited-attendance cooking class led by the best restaurant chefs in our fair cities. Up close and personal. So fill up your glass, put on your apron and be prepared to get busy. Because YOU'RE doing the cooking.

The menu will be created the day of the event so Chef can take inspiration from the seasonal goodies and international flavors of our Midtown Global Market. And who knows what other twists we may have up our sleeves?! We've been known to secretly request an ingredient out of Chef's own refrigerator and throw that into the mix. Or maybe we'll see something Chef likes to make at home...It's always an adventure!

Past guest chefs have included Thomas Boemer of Corner Table and Revival, Gavin Kaysen of Spoon and Stable, Michael DeCamp of Monello, Jamie Malone of Scena Tavern and forthcoming Brut, and Russell Klein of Brasserie Zentral, just to name a few.

Amazing, feel-good side effect? Your participation will help fund a monthly donation to Corner House, a non-profit organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota that assesses suspected child sexual abuse, coordinates forensic interview services, and provides training for other professionals.

Our chefs will guide you through cooking for a crowd, while Nick talks about drinks, music, setting your guests at ease, and how to dress for the occasion.

Special appearances by Erik Eastman (Easy + Oskey) to talk about mixing drinks, and a representative from MartinPatrick3 to talk about how to take your look to the next level!

Wednesday, March 2nd, Tim Niver (Strip Club, Saint Dinette, and the upcoming Mucci’s) takes a laid back look at Dinner Parties! Prepare for a night of laughs and comfort food as we walk you through prepping dinner and Tim talks about bullshitting your way through hospitality.
